“Process has always been of great interest to me, the slow reflective order by which the act becomes art. There is a performance to art; every brush stroke, every line drawn, the way the mark is made; all create the image. Each mark made or not made becomes part of the image, a series of choices leading to a story told.
The techniques I employ draw heavily from traditional methods, combined into novel experiments in application. Relying on the limitations and advantages of these techniques heavily influence how I tell each story.
I derive my imagery from encounters in life and the natural world. The ever-rotating cycles of life mirror our own experiences. The world we face everyday is one of wondrous accidents marked by the beautiful simplicity of it all. ”
